The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve offers an opaque purple color and a beautiful nose of creme de cassis, cedar wood, licorice and background new-barrel notes. It is opaque purple, full-bodied, thick, juicy and dramatic. Drink it over the next 15-20 years.

Another huge, dramatic wine, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve hits the palate with massive tannins and pure power. Still, there is nearly enough depth in the fruit to cover the tannins. This is another wine endowed with a serious sense of place found in some of the higher blocks on the westernmost side of the ranch. Aaron Pott gave this fruit a full 85 days on the skins, all of which it needed. Even with all of the mountain tannin and acidity, the 2012 boasts exceptional polish not to mention tremendous overall balance.
