2012 Elyse Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli Vineyard

Lastly, and probably the flagship wine from Elyse, is their 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli Vineyard, which hails from Rutherford, just to the west of Highway 29. Backward, youthful and behaving more like a 2013 than a 2012 Napa Cab, the wine exhibits serious concentration and extract, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and beautifully pure blueberry, blackberry and black raspberry fruit. Some floral notes as well as hints of forest floor and earth are also present. With powerful tannins and beautiful extraction, this rich, multi-dimensional wine should drink well for up to two decades.
