Score 92/100 · Drink 2024-2030, Jeb Dunnuck, Jun 2024

Coming from across the neighborhoods of the Russian River Valley, the 2022 Chardonnay Russian River Valley is ripe with aromas of toasted spice, orange rind, preserved lemon, honeysuckle, and baked apples. Full-bodied, with a ripe, classic feel, it has a nice, rounded mouthfeel and offers a lovely sense of place. Drink 2024-2030.

A blend of all the single-vineyard properties. Fermentation and ageing in 100% French oak (24% new) for nine months. Pale lemon colour. Ripe peach, baked pear and yellow apple. A brawnier oak profile than the Stone Côte Chardonnay. Candied ginger. A touch phenolic and very ripe peach on the palate with plenty of acid. Alcohol feels a touch warm. (SCJ)
