Score 94/100 · Drink 2025-2035, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Dec 2023

The 2021 Syrah is bursting with blueberries, blackberries and black cherries, plus wafts of allspice, star anise, charcuterie and dried herbs. The palate is full-bodied yet light on its feet, with supple tannins and vibrant acidity that highlights its floral and spice character. It has a long, flavorful finish. This is very easy to drink without sacrificing complexity. 425 cases were made.

The 2021 Syrah is understated in the glass, showing glimpses of violet, lavender and crushed blackberries. This is silky-smooth with crisp black fruits and an early onset of tannic grip, as traces of licorice and spice resonate. The 2021 finishes structured and chewy yet maintains a redeemable freshness. The 2021 is shaping up to be a long-distance runner.
