Score 89/100 · Drink 2013-2022, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Dec 2013

A blend of 70% Syrah, 27% Mourvedre and a splash of Grenache, the 2011 Costieres De Nimes Compostelle is a focused, medium-bodied effort that reveals classic Syrah spice, licorice, black olive and currant styled aromas and flavors. Possessing good acidity, as well as nice concentration, it is a solid effort the will have 7-8 years of longevity, possibly more. Importer: Vanguard Wines LLC - www.vanguardwines.com

Score 90/100 · Drink 2013-2015, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Oct 2013

Richer and more serious, the 2011 Costieres de Nimes Compostelle Blanc checks in as a blend of 90% Roussanne and 10% Viognier. Rich and textured, with plenty of brioche, golden fruits, honey blossom and vanilla cream aromas and flavors, it flows onto the palate with a medium-bodied, rich and supple texture as well as juicy acidity that comes through on the finish. Classy all around, it should be consumed over the coming year or two. Drink now-2015. These top-notch efforts are made by Luc Baudet from his estate in the southern part of the Costieres de Nimes.
