Score 89/100 · Drink 2015-2030, Robert Parker, Jun 2015

This tiny property of under six acres produces a wine made from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Supple tannins, sweet blackberry and cassis fruit, plenty of chalky minerality, and a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel make for a classic, full-throttle, bigger-than-normal wine from this estate. It should continue to drink well for another 10-15 years. A sleeper of the vintage.

Red-ruby. Roasted cherry and raspberry on the nose. Creamy, lush and seamless but not overly sweet. A very broad, concentrated wine with no rough edges, and yet this is a bit youthfully inky today and not yet expressing itself. Tongue-coating tannins will require at least a few years of bottle aging.

Medium ruby-red. Slightly meaty black fruit nose with hints of licorice and bitter chocolate. Supple, sweet and generous, with moderately concentrated but pliant flavors of dark berries, minerals and spices. Still a bit youthfully stunted, but the dusty tannins are fairly ripe.
