The 2017 Irpinia Aglianico opens with a fruit-forward display of spicy blue and black berries, as rich brown spices, sweet herbs, and a hint of mocha comes forward. On the palate, silky textures flood the senses with polished black fruit and minerals, which cascade across the senses, giving way to inner violet florals. The finish is long with a staining of blue and black fruits, which slowly taper off to reveal a coating of savory spice and mineral tones.

Here's a straightforward and easygoing wine with lots of bright fruit and wild cherry. The 2017 Aglianico is a simple and cheerful red to quaff with pizza or spaghetti with grandma's secret sauce. This wine delivers pure red and purple fruit, sweet and simple. It ages in barrique for a quick three months. Some 30,000 bottles were made.
