From vines near Valandraud and Péby Faugères, the 2021 Château Poesia reveals a healthy ruby/plum hue to go with an incredible minerality in its red and black cherries, sappy spring flowers, and crushed stone. This carries to a medium-bodied, pure, elegant Saint-Emilion with ripe, polished tannins, a supple, layered mouthfeel, and outstanding length. It brings rock-solid structure and depth and will have 15 years of prime drinking.

The 2021 Poesia unwinds in the class with aromas of rich berries, cassis and creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, bright and tightly wound, with powdery tannins and a taut, mineral profile, it reflects the thin soils and late-ripening conditions of this sector—as well as a blend that includes fully 30% Cabernet Franc. Expect it to flesh out and unwind with further élevage.
