The golden-yellow 2001 Sauvignon Blanc Zieregg was one of the most charming and successful wines Manfred Tement has ever produced. From the double magnum, this wine opens clear and aromatic on the nose, with cooked peach and cassis aromas. On the palate this is an enormously juicy and fruit-intense wine with a never-ending vibrancy, vitality and fruit charm. It's round and generously textured and perfectly ripe. Finest tannins, great floral and fruit-intense flavors.

12 months in a combination of big barrels and barriques. Sandy limestone soil. Intensely ripe and almost apricot on the nose. Touch of passion fruit. Much more smoke and oak on the palate. Long peppery finish but the alcohol sticks out a bit. RS 1 g/l
