Score 94/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Sep 2025

Matured for 15 months in 53% new French oak, the 2023 Pinot Noir Martaella Vineyard has slowly opening aromas of rhubarb, briar fruit, lavender, aniseed and dried earth. The medium-bodied palate is highly concentrated despite its modest weight. It’s framed by lacy tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, layered finish. It seems to offer something new with each return to the glass and should be long lived in the cellar. 760 cases were made.

Score 96/100 · Drink 2026-2046, Jeb Dunnuck, Jul 2025

Pouring a dark ruby red hue, the 2023 Pinot Noir Martealla Vineyard is deep with notes of dark wet stones, Amarena cherries, pine, smoky incense, and lavender. The palate is structured, with well-defined, ripe tannins, angular, mouthwatering, fresh acidity, and a balanced, long finish. It has broader shoulders but remains chiseled, with compact tension. Drink 2026-2046. These are the spring releases from Williams-Selyem and were tasted with Vice President and Director of Winemaking Jeff Mangahas at the estate in the Russian River Valley.
