The 2022 Moulin-à-Vent Petites Garennes is a new cuvée from just below La Rochelle that tends to suffer millerandage , therefore yielding concentrated berries. There is quite a bit of reduction on the nose, the old Wellington boot just masking some of the fruit at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins that imbue this wine with such elegance. Very precise with a crisp line of acidity on the finish, it fans out with real style. Excellent.

Elegant and balanced, with spice, wood and fresh black cherry to the fore. Floral notes of roses and a hint of pomegranates add charm, while firm tannins and vibrant acidity suggest great ageing potential.
