Ripe and rounded and super-seductive. This is all lift and charm and richly rewarding, shiny-red pleasure; embroidered florals; cooked-to-velvet damson skins; heady black pepper. A wine you could hold in your mouth longer than a kiss. As mouth-watering as a long kiss. Tireless. (TC)

The 2015 Pinot Noir Mt. Carmel Vineyard is every bit as compelling from bottle as it was from barrel. Dark, sumptuous and enveloping on the palate, the 2015 possesses remarkable fruit intensity backed up by serious tannins. Black cherry, plum, spice, leather and menthol all develop nicely in the glass. This is an especially masculine, powerful Pinot with a lot to offer. Don't miss it.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Mt Carmel Vineyard offers up fragrant notions of kirsch, lavender, raspberry preserves and chocolate boxes with a cedar chest and cinnamon toast undercurrent. The palate struts its oak at this adolescent stage, with a good core of perfumed red berry and spice flavors underneath and a fine-grained frame, finishing long and multilayered. Give it another year or two in bottle and drink it over the next seven to eight years.

A deeper, richer wine, the sensational 2015 Pinot Noir Mount Carmel Vineyard offers incredible elegance, length and finesse as well as notes of framboise, wild strawberries, crushed rock-like minerality and sappy herbs. Still tight, firm and focused with fine, fine tannin, give bottles 3-5 years of cellaring.
