Tasting notes
Score 70/100 · Drink 2025-2026, Neal Martin, Jul 2008

The 1953 Clos Fourtet has a widely bricked rim and a tawny core. The nose is certainly agreeable with ripe red fruit, dark chocolate and thyme, all delivered with commendable delineation. The palate, however, has not lasted so well, squidgy and lacking definition, very fungal on the finish. Shame, as the nose had promise. Tasted July 2008.
