The 2017 Chardonnay Haynes Vineyard is up with the crème de la crème in the lineup and is certainly one to snatch up. Coming from the cooler Coombsville appellation just outside of Napa, it offers a beautiful white flower and citrus character as well as some marine and oyster shell nuances. With medium body, vibrant acidity, terrific balance, and a focused style, it’s reminiscent of a Grand Cru Chablis. Drink it over the coming decade.

The 2017 Chardonnay Haynes Vineyard is another soft, pleasing wine in this range. Earthiness, dried fruit, orange peel, sage and dried flowers are some of the signatures in a delicate Chardonnay that emphasizes savory and mineral tones. There is good energy and persistence, even if the finish tapers off a bit.
