A grassy, perfumed and slightly exotic effort, the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc offers up plenty of lime peel, mineral and exotic flowers to go with more richness and texture on the palate. Tank and barrel-fermented and then aged in neutral wood, it’s delicious and a perfect hot summer day white that won’t disappoint. The Sauvignon Blanc is once again beautiful in 2012. Rich, sensual and textured in the style of the year, the 2012 impresses for its balance and harmony. As always, the Lieu Dit Sauvignon is extremely varietally expressive, but in 2012 the vintage had added a little creaminess that wasn't present in the 2011. Lime, mint and sage are some of the many notes that ring out on the bright, saline infused finish. The 2012 was mostly fermented in tank and was aged in neutral oak. This is another fabulous wine from Lieu Dit.
