Opaque ruby. Displays ripe, mineral-accented black and blue fruits, baking spices, olive and violet on the nose, along with a smoky mineral nuance that builds as the wine opens up. Juicy and broad in the mouth, offering appealingly sweet blueberry, cherry preserve and floral pastille flavors that deepen steadily through the midpalate. The floral note repeats on the impressively long finish, which features well-knit tannins and a smoky mineral flourish.

Interesting nose with a distinct earthy note, five-spice and quite dominant oak at the moment. Rounded and spiced with crushed fruit and delineated tannins that are still resolving. Oak is still quite present on the plate and is a little tight and introverted at the moment. (AC)
