Score 96/100 · Drink 2021-2060, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2021

The 2019 Ried Loibenberg Loibner Grüner Veltliner Smaragd is deep, pure, fresh and stony on the complex and elegant nose that reveals clear and flinty lemon confit aromas. Mainly or entirely grown on loess, this is a rich, round and juicy, very elegant, refined and sustainable structured Loibenberg with a long, fresh and intense, finely tannic and grippy finish. Impressive vitality and crystallinity. This is impressive in its complexity and mainly in its mineral vibrancy and vitality. 13.7% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in June 2021.

Very perfumed indeed. Quite a bit of palate weight and soft seduction. Long and reverberant. Blossomy and quite a pleasure! (JR)
