Bodegas Hermanos Pecina was established in 1992 in La Sonsierra in Rioja Alta by Pedro Pecina Crespo, and the small winery owns fifty hectares of its own vine. Although some of the wines did not quite make the grade, there are several that are definitely worth seeking out as fine examples of modern style Rioja, while the late release 2001s fit more into the “classic” Rioja category.
