The organic Castello di Bossi 2021 Chianti Classico reveals tart cherry aromas with sweet earth and hints of pressed rose over a mid-weight mouthfeel. Although the finish is not especially long, this easy-drinking wine makes good on a promise to showcase freshness and bright primary intensity. There's not much more to ask from an entry-level red such as this.

Castelnuovo Berardenga. 100% Sangiovese. Certified organic. Lustrous, concentrated ruby with the beginning of orange tinges. Deep nose of cherry and raspberry fruit and stony notes. Gorgeous, lush, tangy sour-cherry fruit with tannic bite on the finish. (WS)
