A nuanced mix of sweet violets, sage and dusty black currants wafts up from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. It's softly textured with ripe black fruits and hints of inner tobacco, yet I find myself craving more energy and thrust. The 2019 tapers off with youthful tension as grippy tannins resonate beneath an air of purple and blue-toned inner florals.

From the Walla Walla Valley and a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec, 7% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot brought up mostly in French oak (there’s a small amount in American oak), the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon offers textbook, classy notes of darker fruits, tobacco, and chocolate that open up nicely with time in the glass. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a solid, balanced mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and lots of charm and character. It should evolve for 8-10 years with no issues.
