2005 Lancaster Estate Sophia's Hillside Cuvée

Deep red-ruby. Currant, cola, tobacco leaf, milk chocolate, menthol and smoky oak on the nose, with an enticing topnote of rose petal. Supple and rich if initially a bit gritty, with good depth to its dark raspberry, cola and spicy oak flavors. Finishes with sweet, building tannins and good verve and lift. Ultimately juicy and not heavy.
