Score 88/100 · Drink 2018-2020, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, May 2018

A blend of 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Merlot, the 2014 Justification offers up a sweet, sun-kissed nose of plum preserve, blueberry pie and toasty new oak. On the palate, it's rich and jammy, with a chewy payload of tannin and extract and chewy, baked finish.

The 2014 Justification from winemaker Scott Shirley is made from Cabernet Franc and Merlot and it spent 21 months in 50% new French oak. It offers notes of red currants, toasted bread, vanilla and spice in a medium to full-bodied, polished and elegant style that should evolve gracefully for a decade.
