The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Blueprint from Lail Vineyard is one of the gems out there and is well worth your time and money. This beauty has terrific notes of crushed lemon and white flowers as well as medium to full-bodied richness, impressive minerality, good concentration, and bright, racy acidity that cuts a fine path on the palate. Made in an age-worthy, Bordeaux Blanc style, drink it any time over the coming 7-8 years.
Robin Lail's 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Blueprint is absolutely gorgeous. Fresh, crisp and beautifully delineated, with tons of varietal character, the Blueprint screams with varietal character. This is such a classy and polished wine. The 2017 is a real overachiever. Vineyard sources are Totem, Farella and Rewa.
The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Blueprint (fermented in 60% new French oak and aged in stainless steel) opens with lovely scents of gooseberries, green apples and fresh grapefruit with hints of wild thyme, fresh grass and coriander seed. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant, fresh and vivacious with lovely purity and a well-sustained finish. 1,050 cases produced.
