Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color, offering notes of stewed plums and preserved cherries with hints of raisin cake, sauteed herbs and dusty soil. The medium-bodied palate features dried black berries and herbal layers with a lively backbone and chewy texture, finishing a little rustic.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch is a real powerhouse. Black cherry, chocolate, spice, menthol, leather and licorice give the 2017 a real feeling of power and gravitas. On the palate the 2017 is rich, substantial and full of character. Even with all of that intensity, the 2017 retains terrific freshness and plenty of drive. I only hope I can taste it again in the future, as only 75 cases were bottled.
