A huge wine with enormous, mouth-filling fruit, mineral and chocolate flavors and the brawny tannins to match them. Plump blackberries, dried blueberries and dark chocolate, together with flint and iron flavors, on a full body thatâs at least 15% in alcohol. Drink now or hold.

Derived from a gravelly strip in the property's southeastern corner, Round Pond's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon The Vow delivers bold aromas of cassis, black cherries and vanilla. It's full-bodied, soft, plush and fairly easy to drink, then firms up a bit on the finish, showing ample concentration and rich but still ripe tannins. Like the other two wines reviewed from Round Pond in this report, it spent 20 months in 85% new French oak.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravel Series The Vow is laced with dark cherry, plum, gravel, incense, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and crushed rocks. It offers very good depth along with a good deal of mineral complexity, all in the softer style of the year.
