The 2004 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard reveals tart cherry and crushed rock notes, a dry, acidic finish, but lively aromatics and good blueberry and raspberry fruit. Tel. (707) 433-6425; Fax (707) 433-6546

(13.9% alcohol) Saturated ruby-red. Superripe black cherry nose hints at fig and caramel. Fat, sweet and very ripe, with suggestions of candied fruits. I don't find a lot of cut or depth here. Finishes with dusty tannins. This is now mostly young vines. Not up to the quality of the 2003.
