The very summit in the Lignier cellar in 1985 is the Clos de la Roche, a densely colored, tremendously powerful wine with 14% natural alcohol that was aged in 100% new oak barrels. Lignier made 250 cases of this majestic wine. It will be a revelation for those who say modern burgundy is too light.
