The 2012 Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown Vineyard reveals more red and black cherry notes intermixed with earth and spice, medium body, and not as much complexity as The Corner’s. This fleshy, masculine, chunky Pinot can be consumed over the next 3-4 years. Tel. (707) 933-4440

(14.9% alcohol): Good full red. Reticent cherry/berry and menthol aromas are lifted by a floral nuance and spicy oak. Densely packed, broad and sweet but not heavy, showing a lightly saline character to its red berry and spice flavors. Finishes with smooth tannins and an echoing cherry/berry element but the wine's slightly disjointed acidity calls for a year or so of patience.
