More backward, yet loaded with potential, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon ADAMVS reveals a saturated purple color as well as tons of blackcurrants, dark chocolate, truffle, and new leather notes. Full-bodied, structured, and backward on the palate, with building tannins, this majestic Howell Mountain Cabernet needs another 4-6 years of bottle age but should be a 40- or 50-year wine.

The most limited production of these wines is the 200 cases of the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, which comes from their Howell Mountain Vineyard. This wine is aged 22 months in 100% new French oak and looked after by French winemaking consultant Philippe Melka. Not surprisingly, the wine comes across as somewhat of a hypothetical blend of high-class Bordeaux with Napa Cabernet. Dense purple, with notes of mulberry and blackberry, spring flowers and background oak. It is a full-bodied, muscular, multilayered and concentrated wine that should drink well for 20-25 years.
