Farmed by this team starting in 2017, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Cordes Vineyard comes from a vineyard just above Stagecoach. Brought up in 70-80% new oak, it has lots of chocolatey black fruits, graphite, iron, and loamy soil notes. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and tannic on the palate, it's another nicely balanced, structured wine that's going to benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age.

Very deep purple-black in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Cordes Vineyard opens with a broody, slightly closed, tar-laced nose over a core of baked blackcurrants and stewed plums with hints of underbrush, dried herbs and chargrill. Medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy, it has a racy line lifting the dark fruit and earthy flavors to a savory finish.
