Score 96/100 · Drink 2014-2029, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Jun 2014

A wine that was just bottled, the 2011 Block 1 is easily one of the top wines in the vintage. A blend of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that comes from a southeast facing block in the Sheridan vineyard, it possess a seriously full-bodied, rich and structured style to go with decadent dark fruits, lead pencil, singed cedar and tobacco leaf-like romas and flavors. Give it another year or three and enjoy it over the following 10 to 15 years. Scott Greer continues to make full throttle, concentrated and textured efforts from his Sheridan Vineyard that’s located just outside the town of Zillah. While he opted to not produce his Singularity cuvee in either 2011 or 2012 (this is still a maybe), both vintages are strong, with his 2011s checking in near the top of the vintage. His 2012s should be a step up and have additional mid-palate depth and texture, as well as beautiful freshness. Nevertheless, both vintages are worth having in the cellar to say the least. In addition to some rock star reds, don’t miss his Chardonnay! Tel. (425) 401-0167; www.sheridanvineyard.com
