The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru is a step up from the Les Suchots, though it was the only cuvée to be racked. Dark plummy fruit, sous-bois , crushed stone and light clove scents, complex and engaging. The palate possesses unerring symmetry, exquisite balance and poise with a pixelated finish. This is Aux Brûlées at its most finessed.

The 2021 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées wafts from the glass with aromas of dark wild berries, spices, orange zest and gunpowder. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's deep and enveloping, with a layered core of fruit, powdery tannins and a long, spice-inflected finish.
