The 2020 Camartina, a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remainder Sangiovese, is a youthful red/magenta hue. The nose is expressive and lifted with aromas of fresh pine, juniper, cherries, and fresh violets. Medium to full-bodied, it has a chiseled and well-defined structure, with refreshing acidity and crunchy freshness throughout. It has a lot of elegance but is also built to last over the next 20 or more years.

The 2020 Camartina is a super-classic edition of this wine. Cabernet Sauvignon drives the blend, but there is also a ton of site character. Readers will have to be patient, as this is very much a wine for the cellar. Strong mineral inflections, black pepper, lavender, mint and licorice add layers of aromatic intrigue.
