From young vines in the Clos Poirier, Moreau's 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru offers up aromas of minty orchard fruit, peach, vanilla pod and drawn butter. Full-bodied, ample and layered, it's rich and impressively concentrated, with succulent acids and a saline finish.

Cask sample. Deep-mid lemon. Apple, citrus and pie dough. Real texture and weight. This is no skinny Bâtard. Full-bodied, with phenolic charge on the cheeks and fresh acidity leading the long finish. Broad, consistent and complex. (MH)
