Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2019-2035, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers offers one of Louis Boillot's most ostentatious bouquets with copious black cherries, raspberry coulis and blood orange aromas that soar from the glass. The palate is succulent and fleshy right from the start: that trait of blood orange permeating the black and red fruit, very detailed and sensual with a sense of brightness towards the finish. There is great energy suffused into this Nuits Saint-Georges, a Les Pruliers that should age with style.

(from 80-year-old vines): Bright, deep red. Cool aromas of black cherry, violet and cocoa powder. Densely packed and juicy, with sweet berry fruit showing a sexy high-toned quality and terrific energy. Real finesse of texture here owing to the millerandé grapes. Solid underlying minerality contributes to the wine's taut, sharply delineated personality. Finishes very dry but ripe, with substantial suave tannins and an element of saline minerality.
