2003 Carriage House DuBrul Vineyard

(46% each cabernet sauvignon and merlot, with 8% cabernet franc) Bright medium ruby. Primary aromas of blackberry and mint, with some floral high notes. Sweet, fat and fruity, with pliant but rather unformed black fruit flavors. A distinctly grapey wine with impressive size and texture for 13.9% alcohol. Just a tad dry on the finish. This spent 20 months in all new French oak.
