2005 Gamble Family Cabernet Sauvignon Family Home

An attractive, cedar, crème de cassis nose with background vanilla and new oak are present in the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Home (14.1%). The wine has a dense ruby/purple color, and the youthful vigor of this vintage, which goes from strength to strength, after having been underrated by me, following all the hype (justified as it was) for 2001 and 2002. This is a lovely, medium to full-bodied, rich, concentrated wine that is just coming into full maturity. Drink it over the next decade.
