Score 90/100 · Drink 1997-2004, Robert Parker, Oct 1992

Bernard Gros' glories are the three super-expensive, limited edition grands crus. The Grands Echezeaux possesses a sweet, jammy nose of black-cherries, raspberries, peaches, and toasty new oak. In the mouth, it is opulent and intense, with medium to full body, outstanding concentration, and a long, spicy, high alcohol, chewy finish. Approachable now, this wine should improve over the next 5-7 years, and last for 10-12. Potentially, these are Bernard Gros' finest and most classically made wines. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC.
