The 2022 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, violets and blackberries. Medium to full-bodied, dense and pure, with a lively core of fruit, plenty of sweet tannin and a long, penetrating finish, it's seamless and complete.

The 2022 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru is matured entirely in new oak as usual. It has quite an intense bouquet with finely delineated blackberry, raspberry, melted tar and licorice notes in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit. There is lovely balance on the mid-palate, rendering this surprisingly elegant and finessed toward the prolonged finish. It's stylish.
