Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2038, Jeb Dunnuck, May 2022

A step up, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Jemma has better purity in its cassis and blue fruits as well as notes of scorched earth, chocolate, and subtle cedary notes. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and wonderfully balanced, it will keep for 15+ years.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Jemma has come together beautifully in bottle; in fact the finished wine is quite a bit more impressive than the barrel sample. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, licorice and sweet spice race across the palate. Readers should expect a heady, sumptuous Napa Valley Cabernet built on textural intensity and lusciousness.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Jemma is the most approachable of these wines today. Floral overtones and mid-weight structure add to its considerable appeal. There is plenty of the trademark richness and inkiness found in all these wines, but a bit less overt opulence.
