(this is the same cuvee from the north side of the village that I identified as Gevrey-Chambertin in Issue 113) Medium red. Aromas of raspberry, game, earth, smoke and minerals. Sweet, ripe and pliant, with good body and fat. Finishes broad and ripe, with nicely buffered tannins and very good grip. An excellent village wine.

(from the north side of the village) Full medium red. Red cherry nose shows more floral lift and minerality than the Echezeaux. Fresher and more tightly wound, with precise red fruit, mineral and floral flavors. Interestingly, this is more Chambolle-like than the last sample, whereas itÂ’s usually the other way around. The vines in both holdings date back to 1928.
