Brilliant ruby. High-pitched red/blue fruit, floral, spice-cake and allspice aromas, along with a smoky nuance that emerges with air. Sweet and seamless in texture, offering juicy, spice-accented raspberry, blueberry, cherry cola and succulent herb flavors that deepen through the back half. Shows fine clarity and repeating florality on a very long, spicy finish given shape by supple, even tannins.

The 2018 Lapsus, aged in 20% new French oak, is a blend of 30% Graciano, 30% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby-purple, it takes time to give up aniseed, pencil shavings, dried violets and crushed black and blue berry fruits on the nose. The palate is medium to full-bodied with concentrated, multicolored fruits lifted by addicting juiciness. It has a very ripe, grainy frame and a long, uplifted finish. This bursts in the mouth with so much flavor and juiciness, it's hard not to go back for another sip! 250 cases were made.

Another interesting blend, the 2018 Lapsus is 30% Graciano, 30% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 18 months in French oak. Vibrant purple/ruby-hued, with more red and blue fruits, hints of leafy herbs, spice box, and cedar, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, ripe tannins, appealing balance, and a great finish. It's a beautiful wine that's well worth seeking out.
