The 2014 Chassagne Montrachet les Cailleret has a well-defined granite and flint-scented bouquet that leans slightly towards Chablis in style. The palate is fresh on the entry with a keen line of acidity. The citrus fruit is accompanied by coconut, lime and sour lemon. There is moderate weight on the finish that demonstrates more persistence than the village cru. It is a decent Cassagne-Montrachet that should be consumed over the next 5-7 years.

About the producer
The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
