Good full red. Redcurrant liqueur and iron on the nose, along with some slightly bizarre notes of petrol and orange peel. Fat, lush and sweet but a bit closed; less vibrant than the Gevrey villages despite the fact that this vineyard is rich in rocky limestone. Finishes with substantial, slightly drying tannins. I don't find this wine's normal precision.

Red-ruby, a bit less saturated than the Gevrey villages Perfumed aromas of wild berries, smoke and menthol, with a suggestion of fruit syrup. Sweet flavors of raspberry jam and vanilla. Compared to the Gevrey villages, here I find only moderate ripeness and depth of flavor, and a bit less definition and inner-palate energy. The tannins are slightly dry. These vines are younger, averaging about 20 years of age.
