The 2024 Morgon Cuvée Marcel Lapierre, which comes from two plots planted around 1903/1904 that Lapierre remarked had a different "gastronomic soil", has a glorious bouquet with ebullient red cherries, white-tipped strawberry and rose petal scents, all beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied, with crisp, slightly chalky tannins and gentle but insistent grip. This is very focused, with no vegetal aspects and a mineral-rich finish. Excellent.

The 2024 Morgon Cuvée Marcel Lapierre, which comes from parcels in both Côte du Py and Roche du Py, has a very different fruit profile from the regular Morgon, displaying more presence as veins of blue fruit intertwine with the red. The palate is medium-bodied with strawberry and cranberry on the citrus-fresh entry, gentle grip and a chalky-textured finish. You can already see the potential here.
