Score 93/100 · Drink 2025-2032, Jeb Dunnuck, Jul 2025

A blend of 50% Nebbiolo, 25% Nerello Mascalese, and small amounts of Carignane and Barbera, the 2021 Centennial Mountain Reserve Red Wine Blend displays a youthful red brick hue and leads with woodsy aromatics of pine needles, red cherries, anise, tobacco, and cinnamon. The palate is medium-bodied, with a more rounded and silky texture and hints of mocha and cherry cordial lasting on the finish. It’s a versatile wine with an approachable, balanced, fruity and savory feel. Drink 2025-2032.

The 2021 Reserve is superb. A blast of dark fruit, leather, cedar, menthol and licorice saturates the palate. There's plenty of tannin and acid, but that is pretty much buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit. The 2021 spent one year in French oak barrels and a second year in cask. A whole range of floral and savory overtones extend the finish beautifully.
