Score 99/100 · Drink 2027-2045, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jul 2024

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Armstrong Ranch—from the project's home vineyard on Diamond Mountain—features subdued, gentle herbal nuances underscored by black cherries and blackberries. There's considerable zip and zest here, resulting in positive tension and ample complexity. Full-bodied, firm and muscular but ripe, it moves into a long, velvety finish tinged with hints of dark chocolate.

Coming all from the estate on Diamond Mountain and all varietal, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Armstrong Vineyard sports a deep purple hue to go with a gorgeous perfume of ripe blue fruits, dark chocolate, creosote, and crushed stone. It's a big, rich wine yet has gorgeous balance, terrific purity, and the vintage's focused, elegant, fresher style. Give it a few years.
