The 2019 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett is bright in color, with lime green reflections. Pure, refined and reductive in a lovely way, this is a round and juicy, very refined and elegant Kabinett in the style of a digestible Spätlese. The wine has tension, extract and piquancy and can be aged for decades. Bottled in March, tasted in April 2020.

AP number 09 20. TA 8 g/l, RS 50 g/l. Very pure and steely on the nose. And then a great broad bouquet of flowers on the palate. Youthful but exceedingly pretty. And full of life – and green-apple flavours. Still a little chewy on the end. (JR)
