Tasting notes
Score 86/100 · Drink 1990-2000, Robert Parker, Jan 1998

Clos des Jacobins can often resemble the poor person's Figeac. Its cedary, herbaceous, black currant-scented bouquet seems to resemble that of the more famous Figeac in blind tastings. The 1986 is a fairly muscular, alcoholic wine with a good deal of soft tannin in the finish. The wine can be drunk now or cellared for up to a decade. Anticipated maturity: Now-2000. Last tasted, 3/90.
