The 2021 Tinto Buradon Las Plegarias is 100% Garnacha sourced from Paraje La Rad, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Rioja Alta. Exhibiting a garnet hue, the nose carries leafy notes along with hints of jalapeño, hops and tomato leaf. Dry and intense, this sun-kissed wine lingers with a green-ripe character.

The 2021 Buradòn Las Plegarias Red has a beautiful ripe Garnacha nose with notes of red berries, wild herbs, wet chalk and spices. It was produced with the grapes from a vineyard in the paraje of La Rad in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a plot planted in 1979 on stony limestone and clay soils. Picked on October 6, the full clusters were foot trodden and fermented in open vats with indigenous yeasts, had a 40-day maceration and an infusion without extraction. It matured with the fine lees in used 500- and 600-liter French oak barrels for 10 months, which is very much the modus operandi for most wines here. It has contained ripeness, 13.5% alcohol and some developed aromas of forest floor and cherries in liqueur. The palate is medium-bodied, with very good freshness (it has a pH of 3.45) and very fine tannins. 1,700 bottles were filled in October 2022.
